Today, January 27th is Holocaust Remembrance Day and the High School was able to take advantage of a wonderful opportunity to have our juniors attend a one hour presentation from, Keith Sachs, whose wife was a holocaust survivor. Her name was Renee Lisse Sachs. Her story and interviews can be found on the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's website. Mr. Sachs has worked closely with the NJ Holocaust Commission and after meeting our teacher, Aimee Steinberg, he agreed to speak to our students. Mr. Sachs usually only speaks to universities and larger settings but wanted to continue to honor his wife and tell her story. We appreciated the time he took today to do so and were glad to honor Mrs. Sachs' memory on this day.
