HPHS Robotics Club Outreach to Irving Students

On December 13th, the Highland Park High School Robotics Club held an outreach at Irving where pre-K, Kindergarten, and First grade students would plan to build a bridge or tower structure. To do this, Irving kids would draw them out, then (with some help from high schoolers!) construct their ideas with marshmallows and spaghetti sticks. Students would test how much weight their structure or bridge could hold then make adjustments to find ways to make them hold more, learning about the engineering and design process in a fun and engaging way! The Robotics Club hopes to inspire young learners interested in STEM through projects like these and more.
