There was tremendous OWL Spirit today for "Bring Your Supplies In Anything But A Backpack" Day! Although we are missing our student who brought in his kitchen sink to carry his supplies in our picture, I believe the kayak, chair, grill, bicycle, zombie, hamper, hobo stick, laudry basket, drawer, shoebox, carseat, wagon, Target basket, and Easter basket showcase all of our students' creativity and spirit well! Lots of laughs today throughout the hallways and classrooms of our building!

Highland Park High School students, advised by Ms. Jasmeet Anand, participated in the Regional competition of the National Science Bowl at the Princeton Plasma Physics Lab (PPPL) on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
Our Team A placed 9th out of the top 32 schools/teams from all over New Jersey, Delaware, Eastern Pennsylvania, and selected counties in New York. We lost to the eventual champions, Princeton International School of Mathematics and Science (PRISM) in round 7, having defeated them earlier in round 4. In fact, HPHS was the only team to defeat PRISM in the entire competition.
HPHS was represented by two teams:
Team A: Noah Shapiro (Team Captain), Henry Bilton, Patrick Zheng, Alessandro Luca Prendini, and Lucy Wang.
Team B: Steven Chen, Elliot Li, Tejasvini Venkat, Grace Li, and Maxwell Fan
There were no spots for any B teams at the competition this year.
We would like to congratulate these young scientists and Ms. Anand for all their hard work and enthusiasm throughout the year!
